Gifted and Talented Children are individuals whose abilities, talents, and potential for accomplishment are so exceptional or developmentally advanced that they require special provisions to meet their educational programming needs.
Do you feel that your child or teen may be gifted? At Legacy Center, your child or teen can be evaluated to determine his/her intellectual gifts. A gifted and talented evaluation can provide your family with the knowledge to provide an appropriate academic setting for your child.
During a gifted and talented evaluation, the individual will be administered a cognitive/IQ test. Results will be provided to the family as soon as 2 days. The testing process can take up to 3 hours.
Instruments or measures utilized include:
- Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence, Fourth Edition (WPPSI-IV)
- Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition (WISC-V)
- Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV)
