Kara Knox, LPC, BCBA is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She graduated with her BA in Psychology from Westmont College, a small Christian college in Santa Barbara, CA in 2006. She graduated from Colorado Christian College in 2011 with a Master’s in Counseling. She became a licensed counselor in the State of CO in 2013. During her early clinical experience, Kara had a strong interest in helping children and their parents overcome problematic behavior, so Kara attended a post-graduate program at CU Denver and graduated with a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2013.
Kara has a passion for helping children who are dealing with behavioral issues, and children who are dealing with symptoms of Anxiety, ADHD, and Autism, find strategies to be more successful and live happier lives! She also loves to help parents develop more effective parenting plans. Kara enjoys mixing her counseling and behavioral education backgrounds together to focus on improving behavior, reduce negative emotions, increase coping skills, increase self-esteem, and create more positive peer and family interactions.
