Evaluations

Our goal is to obtain a comprehensive understanding of each individual’s cognitive, adaptive, academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental functioning, while identifying both areas of strength and areas requiring additional support. A comprehensive evaluation provides an integrated assessment of cognitive abilities, adaptive functioning, executive functioning, academic achievement, learning processes, and social-emotional functioning. The evaluation may assist in identifying or clarifying conditions such as Developmental Delays (i.e., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and Global Developmental Delay), executive functioning deficits (i.e., ADHD), Specific Learning Disorders (i.e., reading, writing, and or math delays, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia), and/or anxiety or depression. A comprehensive evaluation allows for a more comprehensive understanding of the factors affecting the individual’s functioning and informs appropriate recommendations for intervention and support.

Legacy Center specializes in providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess for the presence of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, and/or Specific Learning Disability. We also offer Gifted and Talented evaluations. Legacy Center provides comprehensive evaluations for children (18 months and older), teens, and adults. Based on comprehensive assessment findings, we develop individualized recommendations that address each individual’s specific strengths, needs, and areas of concern. We collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to support the implementation of evidence-informed strategies across settings. Our goal is to promote consistent, supportive environments and equip individuals with the skills, resources, and interventions necessary to optimize functioning and support meaningful progress.
