What is counseling?

Counseling and therapy are interchangeable and is the process of seeking assistance and guidance from trained professionals in dealing with personal, social, or psychological problems. Counseling can be a helpful process for temporary or long-term problems that are present.

Often times the experience of seeing a counselor can be helpful due to talking about your problems with another person.

Counselors do not provide prescriptions for medications, but can provide referrals to physicians/psychiatrists that can provide a medication consult and medication management.
